A network perspective on marital satisfaction among older couples

It will be helpful for older people to maintain good mental health by improving their marital satisfaction. The present study investigates how the elements of satisfaction among couples are related each other and reveal key elements. Four hundred ninety-four participated in study. Marital was assessed 10-item subscale ENRICH scale. Network analysis adopted estimate network structure these 10 items strength centrality item calculated. results showed that all edges final were positive. with strongest regularized partial correlations appeared between “ leisure activities spending time together” emotional expression”; personality habits” communication understanding”; economic status manner determining affairs” relationship relatives friends”; make decisions resolve conflict” expression.” In addition, expression” had highest node value network.
